Most of us have experienced first-hand the power that our words can have when it comes to relationships. When we’re careless with our words we can do much damage. We can crush somebody’s spirit. We can step on somebody’s dream. We can fill somebody with resentment. We can make other people, even our own children, afraid.
On the other hand, when you say the right word at the right time, somebody who thought they were alone realizes they are not alone, they are loved. Somebody who was confused receives guidance and direction. Somebody who is ready to give up all of a sudden gets hope. The right words can sometimes give correction to a person who was about to make the biggest mistake of their lives. Words really do have the power of life or death.
In this message, Mark will look at the wisdom of Proverbs in regards to our relationships and how to build them up rather than tear them down.
