Putting Faith Into Action: Time to Untie the Mooring Lines
Date: Sunday, November 20, 2011
Pastor Mark Kraft

According to the great Old Testament Passage , Micah 6:6-8, Walk humbly with your God—is the third requirement the prophet Micah states for what God expects from us. Walking with God means an awareness of his close-by presence, having a natural flow of honest conversation, even to the point of expressing anger or frustration, and always listening and acting upon God’s response. Although our tendency is often to be self- centered, perhaps arrogant and sinful, the closer and more humbly we walk with God, the more natural it is to allow God’s heart to become our heart and to let those things that break his heart break ours as well. Doing justice and showing mercy—the other of God’s expectations for us—will only be sustained when we intentionally choose to daily walk humbly with him.
