Living in Hi-Def

We live in an age of incredible technology when it comes to home entertainment. Long gone are the days of black and white TV with those bunny ears! Today TVs are incredibly clear and crisp in resolution with vibrant, outstanding colors. In a nutshell, TV is much "clearer" in the 21st Century.
In this kick-off message for the fall season, Mark will share our church's main purpose. We desire that each of us who calls Waverley our spiritual home sees that purpose "clearly". You will know what we mean when we say we want everybody at Waverley to be living in "Hi-Def". So what's the Main Thing? You will know the one task that, if we move toward this, will guide us in the right direction – and if we don't, no matter what else we do or what programs we start, we will have failed. This is not only true for us as a church but also in our individual lives. You will know the Main Thing for living your life well, and if you miss this you will have missed the very reason why you are on this planet in the first place.
The other aspect of this topic is that we don't get to choose what the Main Thing is. The Main Thing is the task that has been assigned to us and everyone has to decide if we are willing to take on this task or not. As a church, we have to discern together ... how is God calling us to pursue this "Life in Hi-Def"?
