God Is Big Enough: Bigger Than My Sin
Date: Sunday, April 18, 2010
Pastor Mark Kraft

The problem with sin, especially for those of us that have been Christ-followers for a while, is that we tend to like to avoid our sin, to pretend we don’t suffer from it, to give it another name, to get defensive, to rationalize it, to craft a religion that’s about rules so that I can feel good enough that we don’t have to live in the reality of our sin. In this message Mark will suggest that perhaps living in the awareness of our sin is as important a spiritual practice as reading scripture or prayer. But it is a practice that we have lost.

We will look at a passage in Luke Chapter 18 where Jesus told a story. It’s only six verses, but it packs a wallop. It is a fascinating story because Jesus does something at the beginning of the story that He doesn’t always do.
