Came across an interesting post on flowerdust.net about how the term “worship” is so often used exclusively for the music portion of Sunday services these days. And while I believe that’s an important part of what we do on Sundays, of course worship goes far beyond just that.

Check out the comments in particular when you have the time. Some great points to chew on as you reflect on what worship means in your life ... a huge discussion piece that has been around for a long time and won’t soon disappear.

That post (and the comments) have started some thoughts bouncing around in my head, so once I’ve sorted them out into a coherent thought I’ll be back.

In the meantime, I’m interested to know if there’s a statement of worship—a guiding principle that our worship teams look to when they prepare their part of the Sunday service.
