Mission Statement: The creative ministries team exists to support the ministry of our church and to present the gospel in a unique and creative way. It is our goal to use the gifts God has given us to serve and worship Him, hoping to lead others into a place of worship.
Vision: To create an environment in which adults and youth alike can come together with the same purpose in mind, to Glorify God, share Christ and spiritual truths with others. Combining this ministry with other ministries or going out independently for outreach opportunities.
Values: We want to have a place where youth and adults can use their talents and learn new skills, generating an atmosphere that allows creativity. Our hope is that being a part of this team will lay a foundation of growth and spiritual maturity in our youth and help them learn how to share Christ's love with others.
Strategies: Weekly prayer times, devotions and sharing to promote community, unity and spiritual growth within the team. Opportunities to try different creative outlets to find the best fit and give everyone chances to learn new skills and use the gifts God has blessed them with. Freedom in sharing ideas, taking initiative in planning new material, opportunities for leadership. Communicating and modeling a real sense of respect, team work, and an attitude of servant leadership.
Five Alive Puppet Team
For grades 7 and up, including adults Practice: Every Wednesday - 6:00 - 8:00 pm Performances are every 3rd Wednesday for the Faith Weaver Friends program in our church. Various performance opportunities booked throughout the year (not usually more than once a month, sometimes less).
Unity:Dowel Rods and Sign Language Team
For grades 9 and up, including adults Practice: Every Wednesday - 8:00 - 9:30 pm Performances: We currently use this ministry to serve in our own church for now. We usually perform 2-3 times throughout the ministry year.
