GONSKE, Erv & Anna Mission Agency: OM |
|
Erv became interested in missions while attending Okanagan Bible Institute in Kelowna, B.C. His first involvement in ministry was as a camp counselor at a Canadian Sunday School Mission camp in B.C. Following this he was involved in short term missions in Japan, Mexico, Italy, India and Nepal. He then returned to Canada for further education and completed his Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Social Sciences and his Master of Divinity degree at Providence College and Seminary (1981 and 1984). While attending seminary, Erv met his wife, Anna, and they were married in 1982.
Anna grew up in Winnipeg. After high school, she became involved with Living Bible Explorers working in an inner-city kids club and camp program. She attended the University of Manitoba, graduating with a Bachelor of Home Economics, and interned at the University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to become a registered dietitian.
Erv and Anna served with FEBInternational in Pakistan from 1987 – 2008 in the area of theological education by extension, evangelism and leadership training. The experience they gained there is proving to be a valuable asset in their work as “India Representatives” with Operation Mobilization Canada and their ongoing ministry of training national pastors among the Dalit people of India.
Erv and Anna reside in Winnipeg and have been blessed with two sons, a daughter, son-in-law and one grand-daughter. |

JANZEN, Warren & Dorothy; Bryan, Kenton, Austin Mission Agency: SEND International |
|
Warren and Dorothy have been missionaries with SEND International, a church planting organization with over 600 missionaries in 20 countries, for 24 years. Over 15 of those years were as church planters and field leaders in Japan. In 2004 Warren was asked to become the International Director for SEND, and they moved to the International Office located in Farmington, Michigan. Warren’s main role is to cast vision, develop leaders, propel the organization forward toward its’ goals and foster collaboration with other global mission movements. Dorothy has established a Women’s Ministry Team which seeks to serve and empower SEND women. All three of their boys were born in Japan. Their oldest two are now college students in British Columbia, while their youngest continue with high school in Michigan. They are an active family that love sports, table games, and spending time around the BBQ with friends. They are passionate about seeing the gospel brought to the unreached, and feel very privileged to be fully engaged in that work.
Prayer requests:
- That we would be able to mobilize many more missionaries to bring the gospel to the unreached.
- That we would have wisdom as we expand our work into other Muslim groups.
- For wisdom and opportunity as we seek to partner with emerging mission movements in other countries.
- Personally, for our adjustments as we now have two sons in college and only one left at home.
